Samlink, the Säästöpankki Group, and Oma Säästöpankki issued the following notice:
Due to a system malfunction, an error was detected in the October 5, 2026 consolidated transactions for incoming reference payments.
As a result of the error, some reference payment transactions received on October 5, 2026 appeared twice in the consolidated transaction details. These transactions were duplicated only in the consolidated transaction details and did not affect the total amount of the consolidated transaction or the account balance.
To correct the error, a corrective action was carried out on the evening of October 5, 2026, in which the presumed duplicate transactions were removed. A subsequent review revealed that some of the removed transactions were in fact valid payments belonging to the account. As a result, these payments were incorrectly removed from the accounts, which affected the balance available to customers.
The incorrectly removed transactions were restored to the relevant accounts on October 6, 2026, and the effects caused by the incident have been corrected.
