Creating tax form templates
Copying a tax form template
The default formulas according to Liikekirjuri come pre-loaded in forms 6B, 6A, 5, and 4 with the program and are primarily used on the tax form. The formulas are used to retrieve amounts from accounting transactions to the tax form. However, if accounts that differ from those of the Liikekirjuri are in use, custom formulas must be created to replace those for the tax form. The tax form formulas are always shared among all companies in the respective Menu.
Creating tax form templates
Templates are created in the view Reports – Income tax reporting – Tax return formulas, by clicking the New button.
For the year, the financial year ending year is selected, after which the tax form for that year can be chosen.
Formulas are always specific to the tax form. You can copy the default formulas that come with the program, based on Liikekirjuri, by selecting Copy default ormulas. Alternatively, new forms can be created from scratch, meaning that practically all formula data must be established manually. The preferred method is to use the default formulas as a basis and modify them as needed.
Company number is an informative piece of information, and it is not compulsory to provide it. The alternative tax form templates are specific to the accounting office, meaning all tax form templates are available to all clients of the accounting office.
The identifier is given a descriptive name.
The actual template rows are displayed at the bottom of the screen:
Template rows can be modified, deleted, and copied.
The desired template row can be edited in the form either by using the Edit in Form button at the end of the row or by selecting the row by checking it and clicking the Edit button above the rows.
You can also edit the row information in the row view by clicking the first Edit button at the end of the row:
Field – The number in this section refers to the corresponding section of the tax form. Formula – In this section, various formulas can be defined to calculate the result for that section of the tax form.
In the formulas, individual accounts as well as account ranges can be indicated, the balances of the accounts can be added together and subtracted, and division and multiplication can be performed. The symbols used are:
+ sign can be used to perform addition
- sign can be used to perform subtraction
* sign can be used to perform multiplication
/ sign can be used to perform division
: sign can be used to indicate account intervals
For example, with the formula T3000:T3469+T3480:T3599, the total sum of account balances from 3000-3469 and 3480-3599 is calculated. By entering Inverted value – in the field, the sign is switched with a value of 1; with a value of 0, the sign is not changed. The sum is negative with credit entries and positive with debit entries.
When creating formulas, parentheses can influence the order of calculations according to normal mathematical rules. For example, the formula (T1000:T2000+T3000:T4000)*0.5 can be used to calculate 50% of the total sum of account ranges 1000-2000 and 3000-4000. If the formula were in the form T1000:T2000+T3000:T4000*0.5, it would sum up the total of account range 1000-2000 and half of the total of account range 3000-4000.
Note! In the accounting office's own replacement tax form template, it is advisable to leave only those sections (fields) that differ from the default template provided with the program. The program reads the information from the replacement form if the respective section is available there; otherwise, it will use the default template. Therefore, in the replacement template, not all sections are needed, only those that differ from the default.
