Importing Chart of Accounts into Sales Invoices
- Go to the Settings - Accounts view
- Click the Register upkeep button at the top of the view
- Click Browse to select the import file
- Enter the necessary information for importing accounts
- Click the Send File button -> the selected CSV file will be imported into the Sales Invoices register
After the import, you will receive a list of both created accounts and updated information.
NOTE! The column headers in the file need to be in Finnish as in the example file.
Select CSV file
Choose the character set to be used during import from the drop-down menu. Select the same character set that your file is formatted with - ISO-8859-1 is the default.
If the account number already exists - this option determines whether the existing accounts in Sales Invoices will be updated or not.
- Selecting Update will update the existing accounts in the register and create new accounts.
Selecting Skip will not update existing accounts, but only create new accounts.

Creating Accounts Individually
In the Accounts view, all accounting accounts used in Sales Invoices must be created (sales accounts, accounts receivable, bank account accounting account, VAT account, discount account, cash payment account, and collection costs account).
- Go to the Settings - Accounts view
- Click the Create New Account button
- Fill in the information in the pop-up window
- Save the information by clicking the Save as New button.
Account Number and Account Name - enter the account number and name of the accounting account to be created.
VAT Code - select from the drop-down menu. Note! VAT codes must be created first in the Settings - VAT Codes view. If VAT codes are not in use, you can leave this field blank.
VAT Percentage - the field is automatically filled in if a VAT code is selected in the VAT Code field. If VAT codes are not in use, enter the applicable VAT percentage in this field.
Account Usage
- With the option Purchase Invoices, you refer to the accounts used in Purchase Invoices. NOTE! Not yet in use.
- By default, Sales Account is selected for all accounts used in Sales Invoices.
Editing an Account
- Go to the Settings - Accounts view
- Select the account you want to edit by double-clicking on the account row
- The selected account opens in the lower part of the window, in edit mode
- Save the changes by clicking the Save Changes button.
Deleting an Account
- Go to the Settings - Accounts view
- Select the account to be deleted by clicking in front of the row -> the selected row turns blue
- Click the Delete Selected button -> the selected account will be deleted.
Exporting Accounts from Sales Invoices to Excel
The chart of accounts can be downloaded to your workstation in CSV format.
- Click the Settings - Accounts view
- Select Register upkeep at the top of the view
- in Export accounts, select Load file
- Save the file to your desired destination folder.
- You can export the file to Excel, edit and save it, and then return it to Sales Invoices following the instructions for Importing Chart of Accounts into Sales Invoices, updating the old data.
