eReceipt client has been rebuilt using new technology and unified Heeros look. Speed, performance and usability has been significantly improved. Most previous features are transferred in similar form to this version, but most have gone through minor changes and/or improvements.
NOTE: New version can be accessed through the "New eReceipt" link and the old client can still be accessed through the old "eReceipt" link. The versions are fully compatible, and same content is shown in old and new client at all times.
Most important changes and improvements:
Improved speed and performance with new platform
New table component replaces search feature and brings usability to new level
New invoice feature replaces separate Purchase Invoice and Expense Claim features
New ID field eases collaborative use of eReceipt
New "Owner of Receipt" field to allow manual grouping of receipts
Attachment view in Accounting and Purchase Invoices
Improved speed and performance with new platform
New eReceipt client was built on newer techologies and better platform to enhance quality, performance, usability and ease of development. New eReceipt load times are a fraction of what they used to be; Even large databases that have thousands of receipts open in few seconds.
New table component replaces search feature and brings usability to a new level
Like before eReceipts are shown in tabs based on their status. Open unhandled receipts and Handled receipt, and on top of that we've added a third tab for browsing All receipts.
In the heart of the new eReceipt is the new table component with plenty of new features. Rows can be ordered by any of the columns by clicking on the column titles, or by several by clicking one column title, pressing shift and clicking other table columns.
All fields can be also filtered, which replaces the previous search function. The view can be sorted and filtered by many inputs. For example user can filter receipts with total sum between 5 and 100, payment method "Credit Card" and order that by purchase date so that newest ones are on top. Possibilities are nearly endless.
Columns can be selected, removed and reordered to best fit user needs at given moment. List of receipts can be exported to CSV or Excel with current filters and row ordering with right click on the table. User can also select a part of show view, and copy-paste that straight into excel or email.
New invoice feature replaces separate Purchase Invoice and Expense Claim features
Separate features for creating Expense Claims and Purchase Invoices were combined: Selecting Open Receipts brings option to create an invoice. Suppliers are ordered in 2 categories "People" that is used for expense Claims and suppliers that are used for Purchase invoices.
New ID field eases collaborative use of eReceipt
By default the first column is ID, that didn't exist in previous eReceipt versions. This is a short and unique identifier for the invoice, which helps collaboration and communication.
New "Owner of Receipt" field to allow manual grouping of receipts
An optional text field was added to receipts for cases where one user adds receipts for several employees, so finding and attaching those receipts is easier and faster.
Attachment view in Accounting and Purchase Invoices
Attachment view was also updated to improve the attaching process. The view is also a lot faster, and has same filtering and ordering capabilities as the normal eReceipt client. User can also now add details to Open receipts in this view.
Other smaller changes
- Unnecessary restrictions were removed: Sum can now be negative, sum can be up to 14 digits + 2 decimals long, Expense claims can be made in all currencies.
- Receipts can be marked as Open or Handled either one by one, or by selecting a number of receipts.
- Keyboard shortcuts were added: Enter opens receipt, ESC closes the view. Selection can be copied with Ctrl + C.
- Improved capabilties for Heeros to react to occurring errors and visibility to usage which helps us focus on most neede features.
