Sending an e-mail
Send an email to the address provided by the Service Provider at xxx.nnnnnn@erin.posti.com. The address "x" is the information chosen by the customer, "n" is the numeric code specified by the Provider to distinguish between the different addresses and the last part is the service identifier. The recipient field must not contain any other recipients. The recipient will not be identified if the address is inserted only in the cc field.
If the receiving address is not active or if the sender has mistyped the given e-mail address, an error message will be sent to the sender, stating that the address is not active or cannot be found in the ERIN service.
Requirements for an e-mail message
The email must be accompanied by at least one pdf file containing at least one page of text. If the fonts are missing, the image is not valid. The settings in the pdf file must be configured to allow copying and printing of the content. Emails with password protections are prohibited
Multiple pdf files in the same message are allowed, but the Service does not allow the merging of separate files and does not allow the specification of the pages of the files. If there are several invoices in the same pdf file, the data of the first invoice will be saved. If a pdf file arrives in the Service that is not classified as an invoice or the first page is not an invoice, the image will be delivered with the correct recipient information to the Service without the stored data content.
Other file formats such as .jpg or .png, links to external services in the body of the message and email attachments (.mgs or .eml) will be ignored. Security messages do not contain the required file as an attachment and will therefore be rejected at the message validation stage.
Invoice pdf file requirements
The settings in the pdf file must be configured to allow copying and printing of the content.
The size of the file is determined by the number of pages and the dimensions of the image. The program will reject files with too many pages and files where the image page size is smaller than a post-it note and larger than A3. The error code definitions can be found in a separate table.
If any of the above criteria are not met, a message will be sent from the service to the sender's address explaining what caused the error in the processing of the message. In the event of an error, the sender must correct the message or file and resend the corrected version to the service.
