Clearing browser's cache is very important because of the following reasons:
- Protecting your privacy
- Preventing leakage of identifying information
- Improving performance
- Deleting outdated data and cookies.
Additionally, in the event of problems it is advisable to clear the browser's cache. This allows you to verify that the incorrect feature is not caused by the information stored in the browser's cache.
You can always clear the cache manually after each work session or set up the system to automatically clear your cache.
Manually clearing the cache
- Press the Shift + Ctrl + Del keys simultaneously on your keyboard.
- From the window that appears, select the time range and data to be cleared.
- Finally, click the Clear Now button and wait for the browser to clear its cache.
- After that, close the browser windows and restart the browser.
Automatically clearing the cache
You can set Firefox to automatically clear the cache every time Firefox is closed:
- Click to open the Firefox menu.
- Select Settings. The settings will open in a new browser tab.
- Choose Privacy & Security from the left menu.
- Look for the heading Cookies and Site Data.
- Check the box next to Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed.
Your selections will be saved automatically, and you can then close the settings tab. Firefox's cache will now be cleared automatically every time the browser is closed.
