Invoice processing for the finance company in Finago is carried out in collaboration with the OpenText operator. In order to establish the connection, the invoicer must have a valid contract with the financing company. The implementation of finance company invoicing in Finago Modular Sales Invoices is specific to the invoicer and a separate fee is charged for the implementation. Currently, the following finance companies are in production:
- Nordea Financing
- Pohjola Bank Financing
- Danske Financing
- Intrum Financing
- Financelink (NOTE: accounting office specific)
- Fellow Finance
- Noja Financing
- PayEx
- Svea.
If you wish to contact any of the above, the accounting office must place an order as a service request to Finago Modular application support. See the information required for the order below.
If the financing company you want is not on the list, please contact your Customer Relations Representative. The cost for this implementation is higher than for those already in production.
Creating a financing connection is carried out by the operator. This should be taken into account in scheduling.
Considerations in Financing Connections
For some financing companies, dual routing is in use, where invoices are delivered from Finago Modular Sales Invoices both to the invoicee and the financing company. In single routing, the invoice is delivered from Finago Modular Sales Invoices only to the financing company, which then forwards the invoice to the invoicee itself.
Usually, the invoice routing to financing occurs through the selected financial company's bank account (with the exception of Svea). The financial company's bank account is added to the settings of Finago Modular Sales Invoices. If the invoice has a financial company's bank account, the operator routes the invoice to the financial company channel. If the invoice has its own bank account, the invoices do not route to a financial company.
Invoices going to financing must contain a financing company clause, which is a mention of the transfer of a invoice to financing. If it is double routing, the information can be added either by the operator or saved in Finago Modular Sales Invoices. If all invoices are sent to financing, the clause can be saved in the general settings as a default additional description. If only a few customers have their invoices financed, the clause can be saved in the default additional description field in the customer information settings. If the invoice is delivered only to the financing company, the clause is added by the financing company.
Finance company reference is generally formed by the customer's finance company's contract number and the details of the invoice. The operator adds this reference to invoices related to financing based on the reference formation logic.
It is important to note that the payments sent for financing do not automatically come to Finago Modular Sales Invoices. If the financing company provides machine-readable reference materials (KTL) to the invoicer, they can be read manually into the ledger from the Accounts Receivable - Due Invoices - Payments - Read Reference Material section. If not, the invoices must be processed manually so that the ledger remains up to date.
Information required for the order:
- Invoicer's name, business ID, and e-invoicing address
- Finance company name
- Finance company contract number
- Finance company bank account number
- Information on the logic for forming the finance company reference (e.g. contract number + invoice number)
- Will the finance company clause be added by the operator
- Contact person at the finance company, phone number, and email address
- Will invoices be delivered from Finago Modular Sales Invoices to both the invoicee and the finance company, or will the finance company send the invoice directly to the invoicee.
Order Progress:
- The invoicer makes an agreement with the financing company.
- The accounting office provides Finago with the necessary information requested in the service request (list above).
- Finago orders a connection from OpenText (operator).
- Finago confirms to the accounting office when the connection is ready to test the invoicing.
- The accounting office informs Finago of the invoice number of the first invoice sent.
- Finago checks that the invoice has been routed correctly.
- The invoicer confirms with the financing company that the finance company has received the invoice, and the accounting office reports this to Finago.
- Once the connection is verified, invoices can be sent.
